Financial Analyst

Job Description

Aid the System Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Senior Financial Analyst(s) in ensuring financial accountability for UofL Health, managing budgets and financial planning/forecasts. Perform operations analytics tasks such as data querying, spreadsheet design and maintenance, trend analysis, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring. Provide financial insights to management through research and analysis of accounting, patient-level data, statistical, and budgetary information, preparing reports. Apply advanced data analytics techniques to both actual and budgeted data, requiring a comprehensive understanding of facility operations and services. Execute complex operations data functions, often with support from Financial Operations Analyst II, Financial Systems Analyst III, Senior Financial Analyst, and Director of Operations Finance. Other responsibilities include maintaining various systems, creating redundancies for routine tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Perform additional duties as directed.

Education

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master's degree in Finance or a related field, along with certifications such as CPA or CMA, are preferred.

Experience

One year of experience in accounting, finance, or analytics is required. Prior healthcare and system experience is preferred.
