Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain monthly financial forecast.
  • Collect, organize, and validate financial and operational data from multiple sources.
  • Perform basic variance analysis to identify differences between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist with preparing and analyzing various financial reports and metrics.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
  • Assist with rolling up financial data into the annual company forecast.
  • Follow established accounting policies and procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and identify opportunities to automate or streamline financial analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance or a related field.
  • 1+ year of related professional experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship.

This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must be comfortable coming into the office on an as-needed basis, approximately once per month.

Skills

  • General understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Extensive experience using MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Prior experience using ERP systems.
  • Prior experience using Power BI reporting or other data analytics software.
  • Experience with UNANET and/or US Government pricing/contracts.
