About the role
As the Finance Analyst, FP&A you will provide financial support for Global Portfolio & Growth (PGP), including detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, profitability reporting and analysis. You will deliver actionable insights into key financial drivers to help drive financial performance, collaborating closely with various departments and the broader Finance organization.
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process: gather and validate inputs from department leads, enter data into the system, consolidate results, and ensure accuracy of the final output.
- Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly variance analysis comparing actual results against budgets/forecasts for each department and PGP overall. Identify and explain key drivers of financial performance. Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure monthly results are accurate and in line with expectations.
- Resource Analysis: Prepare resource allocation analysis and work with department leads to ensure accuracy of actual time entry. Support the operations analyst to correct inaccurate time entry in the system.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and guidance that support their goals. Partner with Account Management, Business Development, IT, and other Finance teams within the organization.
- Financial Reporting: Help prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for department and overall PGP results. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance of financial information and timely delivery. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to PGP operations and provide regular reporting on these metrics.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support various projects and initiatives across the agency.
- Process Improvement:
- Efficiency Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve the efficiency of FP&A activities. Help implement best practices and innovative approaches.
- Process Creation: Help establish well-defined, organized, efficient, and documented processes for FP&A tasks.
- Technology & Tools: Leverage financial planning tools, ERP systems, and business intelligence platforms to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial analysis and reporting. Become an expert in the financial reporting and budgeting system, Hyperion EPM.
- Teamwork & Development:
- Work closely with finance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the accuracy and quality of financial analysis.
- Help develop the team calendar and work with the team to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, financial best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the FP&A function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience; service industry background a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, with high-level Excel functionality expected.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle EBS and/or Hyperion EPM is a plus) and business intelligence tools (Power BI preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
Starting salary between $75,000 and $85,000.
