Essential Job Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on existing and prospective business investments.
- Apply market research, accounting principles, and data from existing business to model investment performance and sustainability.
- Support sound portfolio-management strategy by providing necessary data for decision-making.
- Design analytical methodologies for data-driven decision-making in investment and resource allocation.
- Create financial models using Microsoft Excel to evaluate discrete investment opportunities.
- Measure and report on expected versus actual investment results, quantify causes, and recommend remedial actions.
- Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions for effective operational strategies.
- Strengthen portfolio management expertise through professional development, monitoring industry trends, and sharing insights.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related work experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- Prior experience with business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, required.
- Prior experience creating financial models using Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong math skills with a basic understanding of statistics and probabilities.
- Able to distill data into useful information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Able to maintain trust relationships due to handling proprietary and confidential information.
- Resourceful, able to initiate action and work independently at times.
- Able to collaborate as a team member.
Pay
$100,000 - 120,000 per year
