Financial Analyst
About the role
Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control with primary responsibility for monitoring the plant’s EAC (Estimate at Completion) preparation process.
- Performs technical analysis aiding and abetting various business units to determine present and future financial performance with particular emphasis on material costs.
- Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts to senior plant management.
- Primary PBC (Prepared By Client) responsibility over several SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) internal controls with external audit agents.
- Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar is a must
- 5 years experience as a Financial Analyst with demonstrated EAC preparation support, primarily in a manufacturing environment. D.O.D electronics manufacturing is a plus
- Sufficient knowledge and ability to interpret, organize and analyze financial data from multiple sources including engineering, shop floor, accounting and other areas
- Must have strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. Oracle knowledge/experience is highly desirable. PMPLAN experience is a plus
- Sufficient skills to develop ad hoc reports and presentations for internal and external audit agents of the company
- Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills
