Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support informed decision-making through thoughtful financial review, reporting, and portfolio analysis in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role focuses on evaluating property and portfolio results, organizing meaningful data for leadership, and contributing to planning across operations and development activities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial information into practical insights. Responsibilities: • Evaluate property financial results, budgets, and audit materials to identify performance patterns, explain variances, and highlight concerns for leadership. • Create routine and special-request financial reports, schedules, and visual summaries that support housing and finance teams in monitoring portfolio health. • Track property and portfolio performance against financial plans, escalating notable risks, gaps, or opportunities for review. • Perform analysis related to cash flow, capital planning, and broader portfolio strategy to support business decisions. • Organize and maintain data sets used for trend analysis, long-range portfolio planning, and development-related forecasting. • Provide analytical support for projects in the development pipeline by preparing financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation. • Assist with underwriting materials, feasibility evaluations, and funding application data needed for prospective development initiatives. • Work with cross-functional teams to supply financial analysis and reporting as projects move from development into stabilized operations. • Contribute to investor, lender, and regulatory reporting by compiling accurate financial and compliance-related information. • Partner with finance and accounting stakeholders to support audits, tax credit reporting, tenant income certifications, rent restriction reviews, and other compliance requirements. • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, business administration, or a related discipline; comparable relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.• At least 2 years of experience analyzing financial statements, budgets, audits, or related financial records.• Demonstrated capability in financial analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc analytical work.• Experience working with large data sets and applying data analysis techniques to identify trends and support recommendations.• Strong problem-solving ability with excellent organization and close attention to detail.• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.• Familiarity with affordable housing, real estate development, or regulated property environments is preferred.• Knowledge of affordable housing programs and compliance reporting requirements is preferred.
