Financial Analyst

Job Purpose

The role of a Financial Analyst is to create, generate, and analyze financial statements, reports, supporting documentation, forecasts, and special projects in a timely and accurate manner for internal and external reporting purposes. This is not a remote position. Candidates must be within commutable distance to Norcross and Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reporting packages and supporting documents
• Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results
• Able to interpret financial statements and perform standard financial statement analysis and statistical calculations
• Create and generate accurate and timely financial statements and other supporting documents
• Reconciles reports, account balances, and financial data to supporting documents
• Performs variance and margin analysis; creates trend reports and analysis
• Able to extrapolate and create forecasts / pro-forma of financial performance
• Understands the flow of financial data from operations, to subsystems, to PeopleSoft GL and reports
• Performs special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
• Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices
• Ability to interpret and analyze programs, policies, and procedures regarding personnel and fiscal matters
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• PeopleSoft experience a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP
• Proven analytical aptitude
• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communications capabilities
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership team and C-Suite partners
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum Experience Required: Two to Five years in public accounting or corporate accounting
