Financial Analyst

About the role
The Finance Analyst will be based at the Elkhart, IN location with support and travel to the North Liberty, IN location. This role is responsible for the General Ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation and reporting, reporting directly to the Controller. The position supports the timely reporting of daily, monthly, and annual financial and operational data, providing broad exposure to financial planning, reporting, and operational support to position the analyst for future leadership within the finance department.
Responsibilities
- Implement, sponsor, and support all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
- Accountable for accurate standard costs and annual review process, inventory costing, and absorption testing.
- Responsible for accurately compiling data for journal entries during the month-end closing processes.
- Provide financial analysis support, including cost control opportunities and working capital management.
- Review internal controls and determine design and operating effectiveness.
- Assist and support monthly closing cycles, planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes of the operation.
- Ensure internal controls and policies are followed.
- Support financial and manufacturing analysis of both recurring and ad-hoc nature for internal management.
- Assist with payroll and supply financial data needed for capital appropriations.
- Support the creation of the annual business plan and month-end closing.
- Analyze actual profits and losses vs. the budget on a monthly basis.
- Conduct cost studies on various item numbers or customer profit analysis.
- Conduct annual fixed asset inventory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in similar roles, preferably including experience in a Plant Operation environment.
Skills
- Understanding of standard costing principles and variance analysis.
- Ability to perform inventory valuation, reconcile inventory accounts, and analyze inventory movements.
- Experience with manufacturing KPIs.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP); experience with S/4 HANA preferred.
- Excellent communication and strong analytical skills.

Pay
