Financial Analyst
Job Summary
Provides analysis and accurate and timely financial information. Generates management reports and interfaces with corporate departments where necessary. Works with minimal supervision to solve problems, complete special projects, and conduct monthly activities. Acts as a best practice/quality resource for colleagues with less experience and guides others in resolving complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Supports IT departments with generating forecasts and analyzing trends in various business areas.
- Takes into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income.
- Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for business planning decisions relative to new products.
- Completes financial analyses of costs for implementation versus ROI.
- Works with guidance in on financial analysis situations and is recognized as an expert in the area within the organization.
- Demonstrates an understanding of when matters need to be elevated to management.
- Proposes solutions when bringing matters to the attention of management.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Financial Analyst III: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, 5 years' experience working in financial analysis, Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Access, Proficient in the use of other automated accounting systems and an ability to serve as a training resource to junior staff members relative to the relevant systems.
- Financial Analyst IV: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, 7 years' experience working in financial analysis, Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Access, Proficient in the use of other automated accounting systems and an ability to serve as a training resource to junior staff members relative to the relevant systems.
