Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounts receivable collections and invoicing, including submissions through invoicing portals such as IPP and WAWF.
- Oversee the project control function within Unanet, including setting up new projects, assigning personnel and budgets, and updating project information based on contract modifications.
- Verify Period of Performance (PoP) dates and proactively alert the Controller to projects nearing completion or experiencing funding shortfalls.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Review project reports (JSRs) and provide recommendations to the Controller for improving operational and financial efficiencies.
- Review JSRs to ensure accurate project coding and labor charging, partnering with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Cookordination and assist with external audits, including annual financial statement audits, bank audits, and other required audits, ensuring requested documentation is prepared accurately and submitted on time.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), while maintaining knowledge of DCAA requirements and applicable FAR clauses.
- Aid in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of company accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform other ad hoc assignments as directed by the Controller.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of Government Contracting experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using Unanet.
- Knowledge of Time & Materials (T&M) and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contracts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-track (preferred, not required).
