Financial Analyst
About the role
ICANN is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team. This high-performing individual will serve as the Finance Analyst for the 2026 Round, supporting cross-functional activities across projects with strong financial modeling skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work as a self-starter. The role involves significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders, requiring excellent business advisory and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Finance Analyst for ICANN’s current and future rounds of new gTLDs and finance projects.
- Build and work in financial models that enable business planning and decision-making, including cost tracking, refund management, and other duties as assigned.
- Analyze budget, forecast, and actuals and prepare monthly reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts.
- Perform monthly accounting entries and intercompany reconciliations.
- Contribute to the smooth running of all daily and monthly financial processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of data and documentation.
- Proactively engage with Finance colleagues and business partners to identify opportunities for business process improvement.
- Perform reviews and validations to ensure the organization’s financial records and recordkeeping methods comply with applicable standards and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Finance.
- Finance experience at a high-growth startup or Fortune 500, ideally a blend of both.
- Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in additional languages besides English.
