About The Role The Financial Analyst owns the modeling, reporting, and analysis behind the company's financial decisions — from monthly close support and variance analysis to long-range planning for a growing SaaS business operating under US GAAP. The role matters because finance here is a decision-making function, not a back office: the analyst's work directly informs pricing, headcount planning, capital allocation, and board-level reporting. The team operates in a SOX-controlled environment with SEC reporting exposure, so rigor and accuracy are non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain driver-based financial models for revenue, headcount, and operating expenses in Excel and the corporate planning tool (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar)Partner with Accounting to support month-end and quarter-end close, including flux analysis, accrual reviews, and reconciliation of P&L variancesProduce monthly management reporting packages, board decks, and variance narratives that explain performance drivers to leadershipSupport SOX 404 compliance activities, including documentation of key controls, internal control walkthroughs, and remediation trackingAssist with SEC reporting deliverables (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), including supporting schedules, tie-outs, and technical accounting research under ASC 606 and ASC 842Analyze unit economics — ARR, churn, CAC payback, gross margin by product line — and translate findings into actionable recommendationsImprove finance systems and processes, including automating recurring reports and cleaning up data pipelines feeding the ERP (NetSuite or similar) What We Are Looking For 3-6 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, public accounting, or a comparable corporate finance roleBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldExpert-level Excel modeling skills; comfort with SQL or large-scale data pulls is a strong plusWorking knowledge of US GAAP, with exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition and SaaS metricsExperience with an ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and a cloud planning toolFamiliarity with SOX controls or SEC reporting processesBonus: CPA, CFA, or MBA; prior experience at a high-growth or pre-IPO technology company; experience building models that survived diligence or an audit
