FINANCIAL ANALYST

Responsibilities
Working as the Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the school nutrition program. Key responsibilities include:
- Compiling new and rebid pro-forma and analyzing for accuracy
- Preparing and analyzing monthly management reporting; new, rebid and lost business reporting; weekly Business Owner Reports
- Providing financial guidance to operating units within the region on matters involving client returns, revenue and profitability goals
- Improving financial status by compiling and analyzing budgets and forecast, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and considering "what if” scenarios to bring forth suggestions to the Director of Finance
- Documenting and maintaining complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
- Providing accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects
- Creating and designing reports and spreadsheets; creating and maintaining a database to organize, collect and upload data into required reporting formats
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with three to five years of related experience in Foodservice, and K-12 experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to competently use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as a personal computer
- Experience with SAP, Excel, Power Point, Access
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Pay
The salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000.
