Financial Analyst
Position Summary
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, budgeting, and tracking performance. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to support the company’s financial planning and analysis efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis: Analyze current and past financial data and trends to provide actionable insights. Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management. Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide updates to management. Develop and maintain financial models and what-if analysis to support forecasting efforts.
Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Monitor and report on performance across data centers.
Accounting and Revenue: Assist in the preparation of monthly revenue workbooks and with various month-end close activities. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Maintain internal controls information.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies. Implement best practices for financial analysis and reporting. Participate in cross-functional projects to support organizational goals.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 1-3 years working in either finance or accounting
- Strong analytical skills and organizational abilities
- Experience budgeting and performing basic financial analysis
- A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Physical Requirements
- Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.
