Financial Analyst
About the role
Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the finance department based in Kinston, NC. The role involves performing financial analysis of various administration projects and business performance, planning and supporting financial analysis assignments, and analyzing and interpreting financial data.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting: 70% - Provides guidance through data analysis of actual spend and forecasted spend, reviews expenses, prepares cost reports, analyzes cost variances, and creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Month End Close and Audit: 20% - Supports accounting at each month end close process, reconciles actuals to ensure accuracy at close, and assists in on-site audits.
- Other Duties as Assigned: 10%
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Account, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2-5 years of finance and/or accounting experience
- Ability to independently develop, communicate, and make recommendations to business partners
- Strong understanding of income statement and balance sheet, preferably in a manufacturing industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite or Google suite
- Preferred SAP experience
