FINANCIAL ANALYST 4
About the role
Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
Able to adjust schedule to work additional hours for any unscheduled and/or unplanned projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience -or-
- Masters degree and 8 years of experience -or-
- PHD and 6 years of experience
Nice to have
- Required Bachelor's degree in a related field;
- Previous government contracting or shipyard experience required;

Skills
- Ability to use excel, complex formula development and understanding, and the pivot table tool in addition to the other excel formulas used for summarization and analysis.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Understanding of basic contract types and contract funding language, including research and verification of clauses.
