Financial Analyst 1
Duties And Responsibilities
- Gathers and analyzes financial information on expenses and revenues.
- Designs and enhances data visualizations for reporting.
- Develops simple analysis of economic indicators in order to prepare forecasts and analyses supporting the needs of financial planning.
- Develops financial prompts or queries used for analysis of accounting and business wide issues.
- Affords support to business unit employees through analysis of financial data.
- Ensures company compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist with interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements.
- Special projects as assigned.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational, oral presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data.
- Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot.
- Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools preferred.
- Highly Effective Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams.
- Ability to work effectively with, and communicate with all levels of management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience of financial analysis or relevant academic experience.
Compensation
Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave. Range: $55,000 - $65,000
