Financial Analysis Vice President - Commercial Banking
Job Responsibilities
Lead the dialogue with senior business leadership as well as stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to provide information on the business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape and industry trends.
Develop and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed.
Prepare presentation materials and financial analytics for senior management for financial reporting meetings, quarterly business reviews, and budget.
Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
Conduct deep dive analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root cause and propose solutions
Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the “so what, now what?” dialogue
Drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support
Lead and manage a team
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- 7+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, Planning & Analysis and/or Accounting
- Experience in corporate financial analytics with an understanding of a Bank's balance sheet, P&L and key drivers
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker
- Excellent verbal & written communication and relationship management skills, strong executive presence, and ability to tell a story with data
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately
- Self-starter and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
- Experience with managing/leading a team
