Financial Analysis partners across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams handle financial control, forecasting, budgeting, analysis of financial and business metrics, management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards), and advising line of business CFOs on increasing profitability and efficiencies.

About the role

As a Financial Analyst within Card PXT, you will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data, prepare reports, and devise ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement. You will develop recommendations affecting business procedures and operations, maintain financial and reporting systems, and assist with special projects or components of other projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage annual and continual financial planning activities for product areas, providing business rationale and decisions for month-end financial performance and forecasting.
  • Conduct reviews and analysis on product financial performance, consumption/demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports.
  • Develop efficiency reporting, analytics, and strategy, including location strategy, span of control, reporting, and analytics.
  • Create financial business cases supporting business initiatives.
  • Report on and monitor key metrics, drive data quality initiatives, and help define future needs of the product area.
  • Develop and track performance metrics, create presentations, and provide financial analysis on various topics to senior management.
  • Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of results and present commentary to senior managers, explaining changes from prior forecasts or budgets.
  • Design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver financial results to senior management.
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a technical subject.
  • 4+ years of work experience.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with data mining, gathering, and manipulation of data sets.
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management.
  • Proven track record for executing special projects with often little lead time or information.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills; able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for Business, Finance, and FP&A teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of work experience in Financial Services and/or an accounting/controller background.
