About the role

This position is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and communicating financial information for the organization. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Proactively identifies trends and provides support to the business in order to make informed business decisions. Performs financial forecasting using historical trends and forward looking insights to senior leadership. Transforms data into actionable insights that improves revenue and earnings of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end/quarter-end/year-end close duties
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, and monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Parenthetical with business leaders to provide insight on drivers of monthly results, identify opportunities within the business, and enhance their decision making abilities using analytics
  • Provide clear analyses on trends and causes of P&L variances. Translate those findings into recommendations that align with company business goals
  • Work closely with Finance leadership to identify opportunities to build out new processes and improve existing finance processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses
  • Perform ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling

Required

  • Requires Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience
  • Strong PC and Microsoft application skills
  • Excel expertise required (pivots, V-lookups, macros)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Insurance experience
