Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD is seeking an experienced financial aid professional to lead the school’s Financial Aid Department.

About the role

Oversee daily operations to ensure all incoming students are accurately and completely packaged. Assist in planning, directing, implementing, and monitoring the timely processing of Financial Aid in accordance with federal and/or state regulations and Company policy. Lead training, development, and evaluation of staff to ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems while ensuring compliance with policy, procedure, and legal requirements. Manage Financial Aid Advisors and staff. Work schedule may include evening and weekend events as determined by the Campus President.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to students to assist in the completion of packaging and collaborate with all departments and the Campus President to ensure all start requirements are met when students begin school.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Financial Aid Department and implement new policies to ensure accurate, timely, and ethical awarding and processing of Title IV program funds according to federal and/or state regulations and Company policies.
  • Perform routine audits on active and inactive student files to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations.
  • Oversee the processing of new and existing student loan and grant applications.
  • Monitor and track the school's Institutional Loan Program.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of verification and documentation of independent status.
  • Oversee and monitor maintenance of document tracking systems within the office (Pell Grants, Federal loans, income tax returns, etc.).
  • Assist with coordinating the school's response to any internal or external audit related to the management of Title IV programs.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and at least 2 years' experience in Title IV Administration or 3 or more years' experience in Title IV Administration and management.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
  • Ability to manage a team of employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Prior experience managing a team of Financial Aid Advisors.
