About the role

Lead a team of Financial Advisors serving clients across M&T's Northeast market, including Boston and New Hampshire. This role is responsible for coaching and developing advisors, strengthening client engagement strategies, supporting advisor onboarding and growth, and driving sales performance across a centralized advisory team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10-14 Financial Advisors and advisor trainees supporting clients across the Northeast market.
  • Drive advisor performance through coaching, sales training, and development focused on client acquisition, relationship growth, and financial planning excellence.
  • Partner with Retail, Wealth, and other key stakeholders across the Boston and New Hampshire markets to strengthen referral relationships and expand client engagement opportunities.
  • Support onboarding and development of newly hired Financial Advisors, creating a strong foundation for long-term success.
  • Monitor advisor performance, pipeline activity, and client outcomes to identify opportunities for coaching and market growth.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, belonging, collaboration, and client-focused execution.
  • Ensure adherence to advisory, compliance, risk, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a sales environment, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years higher education and/or work experience inclusive of a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a sales environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' managerial, supervisory, and/or work leadership experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 24, and 65 Licenses
  • New York State Life/Accident and Health Insurance license

Pay

The pay range for this position is $103,900.00 - $173,100.00 Annual (USD).
