About the role

The Financial Advisor Associate (FAA) role at TD Wealth focuses on attracting and retaining clients by addressing their wealth management advisory needs. The FAA will meet with prospects and clients to analyze their financial information, provide personalized financial advice, and recommend tailored investment and insurance strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospects and clients to analyze their financial information, including income, cash flow, assets and liabilities, and understand their short and long-term financial goals.
  • Provide education and advice regarding investment and insurance strategies and products.
  • Recommend personalized/tailored investment and insurance strategies and products to meet clients' financial and wealth creation objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage all aspects of the client’s relationship with TD Wealth.
  • Identify and engage key partners across the organization as appropriate.
  • Ensure all new clients receive the complete on-boarding experience, including a thorough client discovery, financial needs analysis, and completion of onboarding documents.
  • Coach Retail and Small Business staff to identify referral prospects.
  • Execute in a manner that is compliant with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement a process to ensure every client receives periodic ongoing contacts and an Annual Client Review (ACR) meeting.
  • Deepen wallet share by anticipating client needs and suggesting appropriate Wealth solutions.
  • Identify and refer business opportunities to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, relevant college degree or completion of the FAA Trainee program.
  • SIE & Series 7 required.
  • L&H and Series 66 (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain all within the Licensing and Registration Schedule.
  • Self-directed, with strong ability to plan own activities to achieve sales and referral goals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of wealth products and services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel within assigned market to meet prospects, clients and partners five days a week.
  • Understanding of wealth management business development techniques.
  • Experience interacting with retail and small business banking clients.
  • Consultative sales experience required.

Pay

$61,880 - $92,560 USD

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel within assigned territory.
