Essential Functions
- Aid the Finance Department in areas such as billing, report preparation, expense coding, cost accounting, and analysis.
- Support the finance team and advance Delta’s mission and values.
- Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Promote continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures.
- Utilize HCSIS & Promise programs as needed.
- Enter budgets into Accounting software (currently Vena and Sage).
- Prepare and submit cost reports for funders including DDD, DCF, ODP, and OCYF.
- Develop and maintain budgets.
- Monthly coding of electronic transactions in the credit card system.
- Provide back-up and support to AR and finance departments.
- Offer routine internal reporting.
- Assist with various projects.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Use of telephone, phone system, voice mail, copier, facsimile machine, and computer.
- Independence on assigned tasks and ability to follow directions.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Perform light physical, non-strenuous administrative tasks.
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with Sage, Vena, HCSIS, Promise Billing, Evolv, and iCare is preferred.
- Dependability and adaptability.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
