Financial Accounting Manager
About the role
Contribute to the growth of your career as a Financial Accounting Manager. You will manage the financial close process and related activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of TJX Financial Statements. This role includes presenting and analyzing financial statements, supervising a team of accountants, and leading special projects and ad hoc requests.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development, mentorship, and training of 2-3 Financial Accountants.
- Delegate work and assignments to the accounting team.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of Financial Statements.
- Review and analyze Financial Statements and supporting schedules/disclosures (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc.) with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with US GAAP.
- Ensure the control environment and SOX controls are maintained.
- Own the oversight of special projects, management presentations, and ad hoc requests.
- Independently lead the accounting team in meetings with business partners on accounting matters.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiencies.
- Research and interpret new and recently issued accounting standards.
- Lead discussions with internal and external auditors regarding related audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Accounting, Audit, or Finance experience.
- Prior management experience (1 to 2+ years preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- CPA/MBA a plus.
- Public Accounting experience a plus.
- Technical accounting and strong understanding of GAAP (public/private or mix).

Pay
This position has a starting salary range of $104,800.00 to $136,200.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
