About the role
The Financial Accounting Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the financial reporting and accounting operations of Absher's affiliated entities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process and prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial reporting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
- Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Cook up annual audits and prepare supporting financial documentation
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, inventory, and regulatory filings
- Pivot with Operations to support project financial reporting and cost management
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
- Coach and mentor accounting staff while supporting department growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Experience with construction accounting, including WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting
- Experience preparing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
- Familiarity with construction accounting software such as Vista, Procore, Prophix, Point of Rental, or similar ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for continuous improvement and developing others
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (Federal Contractor requirement)
