About the role

The Financial Accounting Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the financial reporting and accounting operations of Absher's affiliated entities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process and prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial reporting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
  • Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Cook up annual audits and prepare supporting financial documentation
  • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, inventory, and regulatory filings
  • Pivot with Operations to support project financial reporting and cost management
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
  • Coach and mentor accounting staff while supporting department growth

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
  • Experience with construction accounting, including WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
  • Familiarity with construction accounting software such as Vista, Procore, Prophix, Point of Rental, or similar ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for continuous improvement and developing others
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (Federal Contractor requirement)
