About the role

At EY, we help clients facing complex finance and controllership issues by providing answers to their most pressing questions. As a Senior in our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team, you'll play a key role in our exponential growth, working across industries to deliver creative, strategic solutions. This role involves listening to and understanding clients to provide an exceptional experience, with no two projects being the same.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on complex accounting issues and develop tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence strategy while balancing risk and expectations.
• Ensure the Engagement team thoroughly understands clients' unique needs, ambitions, and expectations.
• Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless, integrated service.
• Manage team performance and identify opportunities to improve products and processes.
• Research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
• Travel regularly to meet with key clients, including some of the most respected in their fields.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business discipline.
• Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm.
• Eligibility to obtain US CPA licensure in your work state.
• Strong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledge.
• A deep understanding of the marketplace, including commonly used terminology, processes, and tools.
• A proven record of excellence in managing, mentoring, and improving high-performing teams.
• The confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues.
• Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites (a driver's license is strongly recommended).

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree in accounting, finance, or a business discipline.
• External audit experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in most US geographic locations is $90,800 to $149,800. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $109,000 to $170,200. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
