Financial Accountant II, Temp F/T

The Financial Accountant II position supports the ministry in areas such as general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, and reporting.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops general understanding of ministry objectives
• Communicates periodically with clients and other staff to facilitate accurate and timely accounting of ministry activities
• Prepares accruals and journal entries for the general ledger in compliance with GAAP, ministry policies, and procedures
• Aids in preparing financial analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries in support of monthly and annual close processes
• Performs record-keeping in compliance with GAAP and ministry policies
• Participates in cross-functional team assignments as required
• Gathers information for internal and external audits

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• Knowledge/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with emphasis in Accounting preferred (or equivalent work experience), 1-3 years of experience in Accounting
• Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts: Communicates effectively, deals with stress, handles confidential information, proficient in MS Office software, able to learn complex tasks, prioritizes and schedules workload, works independently, and learns new subject matter quickly
• Stewardship Requirements: Implements cost reduction and efficiency improvements where appropriate

Pay Range

$22.70 to $26.60
