Financial Accountant

About the role

As a Financial Accountant, you will manage day-to-day accounting routines, maintain financial data integrity, and support transactional processing across ERP systems. This role plays a key part in the period-end close process, prepares critical account reconciliations, and assists with financial reporting and audit compliance. You will also collaborate on special projects and process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy across the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks, including processing journal entries, preparing reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, balance sheet), and analyzing transactional data for accuracy and completeness.
• Support transactional processing for financial activities such as vendor invoices, customer payments, and fixed asset additions/disposals, adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Maintain financial data integrity within ERP systems and other accounting tools by assisting with data entry, validation, and system updates.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing supporting schedules, performing reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Support financial reporting by providing accurate and timely financial data, documentation, and analysis for internal and external reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing detailed financial data, documentation, and explanations to ensure transparency and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and system enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with a minimum of 3 years of related accounting or cost accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with major ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and display initiative.
• Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively with global and remote teams.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily an office-based role requiring the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment for prolonged periods.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, and carry light objects.

This is a 100% in-office role with no hybrid or remote opportunities. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday.
