Financial Accountant

Responsibilities

• Develop timely and accurate financial statements that support leadership decision-making and ongoing business operations.
• Compile and submit documentation packages required by banking partners to satisfy reporting and compliance obligations.
• Monitor outstanding loan activity, maintain related records, and help ensure all financing requirements are tracked appropriately.
• Build financial forecasts and projections to assist with planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
• Partner with internal teams and external auditors by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and supporting the annual audit process.
• Record and review journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Assist with corporate tax and sales tax activities, including preparation support and related financial documentation.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and financial data management.
• Experience preparing journal entries and working within a general ledger environment.
• Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support activities.
• Ability to communicate professionally and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Word, or Power BI is preferred.
