Financial Accountant 1 fte (40 uur/ week)

About the role

As a Financial Accountant within a socially impactful organization, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive financial administration. Working alongside colleagues, you will ensure the recording, analysis, and reporting of financial data. This contributes to reliable financial reports and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

- Ensure timely processing of financial data and prepare periodic reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closures. - Conduct controls and reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to maintain a clear picture of the organizational financial position. - Support budget preparation and financial forecasts and monitor progress against the budget. - Prepare tax returns and VAT reports and manage subsidy administration, including reports and support for audits. - Within the project administration, ensure precise recording of hours and costs, monitor budgets, and prepare progress reports for project leaders and other stakeholders. - Contribute to improving processes and systems with the goal of an efficient and future-proof financial administration.

Requirements

- A proven and driven professional with a complete HBO education and at least five years of relevant experience in a comparable role. - Strong analytical skills, able to quickly understand complex business structures and not afraid to take initiative. - Maintain composure in dynamic environments: stress-resistant, quick to adapt, and communicates clearly with colleagues and stakeholders. - Affinity with automated financial systems and preferably experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365. - Proficient in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
