Finance & Transactions Attorney (Debt Finance Focus) - 1-5 years

About the role

The associate will support a borrower-side debt finance practice, representing companies and sponsors in a wide range of financing transactions. This is a high-growth opportunity, and we are intentionally seeking candidates from a broad range of experience levels and practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Represent borrowers and sponsors in leveraged finance deals
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements and related documentation
• Manage deal execution from diligence through closing
• Gain exposure to a wide variety of matters, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, and fund finance transactions
• Work closely with experienced partners on a broad range of transactions

Requirements

• Debt finance experience (borrower, sponsor, or lender-side)
• General corporate / M&A experience
• Securities & capital markets background
• Real estate finance or other transactional practices

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Virginia or Charlotte

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
