Finance Supervisor FP&A, Pedialyte - Nutrition - Columbus, OH
About the role
This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division. The Financial Supervisor, FP&A – Pedialyte is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and decision support to drive profitable growth and sustain market leadership for the Pedialyte brand. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain—to provide actionable insights, ensure financial discipline, and optimize investments that maximize brand performance and long-term value creation. As a key financial business partner, this role translates strategic brand priorities into financial plans, evaluates critical investments (e.g., media, trade, innovation), and proactively identifies risks and opportunities to ensure delivery of revenue and margin objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the Pedialyte brand team, owning the full commercial P&L and ensuring alignment between financial targets and brand strategy.
- Analyze key business drivers, including volume, pricing, mix, promotional spend, and marketing effectiveness, to identify risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate ROI of brand investments including advertising, innovation launches, packaging changes, and channel expansion initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing to optimize media and promotional spend, ensuring investments are allocated to the highest-return activities.
- Support innovation pipeline through business case development, scenario modeling, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment on key assumptions.
- Identify and drive productivity and margin opportunities, enabling reinvestment in brand growth initiatives.
- Enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics to improve financial visibility and enable faster decision-making.
- Owes month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries and P&L analysis versus plan and benchmarks.
- Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Develop concise, executive-ready presentations for leadership forums (e.g., LBE, forecast reviews), translating complex financial data into clear business recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Finance experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting or Financial Reporting).
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- Experience supporting brand or commercial teams in a business-partnering capacity.
- Knowledge of integrated financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Ability to design and improve financial reporting tools and systems.
