About the Role
This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for payroll, regulatory submissions, and financial analysis projects.

Responsibilities
- Manages payroll workload.
- Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner.
- Act as administrator of payroll software including management of employee information.
- Collaborates effectively with Human Resources.
- Processes and remits benefit deductions within payroll system and with third party vendors (insurance, FSA, 403(b), etc.).
- Prepares and/or submits reports for compliance requirements.
- Prepares payroll journal entries and reconciles correlating general ledger accounts.
- Monitors accuracy and timeliness of payroll service provider tax filings, wage attachments, and garnishments.
- Assists in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures and payroll-related training.
- Contribute to special projects and create efficiencies through automation.

- Knowledge of payroll functions and general accounting principles.

Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 7+ years relevant experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other data applications; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
