Finance Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a finance team of approximately 3-6 people through coaching, weekly 1-on-1s, and performance management
- Own month-end close processes and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
- Establish department operating rhythms including KPI reviews, team meetings, and reporting timelines
- Build accountability standards and create a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
- Design and improve accounting workflows across AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and reporting
- Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and operational efficiency
- Partner with CFO on forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis
Requirements
- Strong experience in accounting or finance
- 3–5+ years managing accounting or finance teams
- Strong expertise in month-end close, GL reconciliation, GAAP, and internal controls
- Experience designing, documenting, and implementing repeatable processes
- Experience developing and coaching team members
- Comfort building systems from the ground up when structure doesn't exist yet
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Property management or real estate experience is a plus but not required
