Finance Manager (Water Safety & Control)

About the role

The Finance Manager position is within the Finance Director's team and focuses on delivering monthly financials and forecasts for the Water Safety & Control business unit. This unit has annualized sales exceeding $500 million.

Responsibilities

  • Executes month-end close and forecast, analyzing variances to prior forecast and budget.
  • Communicates financial performance and forecast commitments to BU General Managers and Leadership Team.
  • Helps set L2 review agenda with BU Leadership Team.
  • Partners with Operations and Supply Chain to manage inventory levels, maximizing the existing footprint.
  • Provides regular visibility on slow-moving, E&O inventory.
  • Works with the Director of Finance and General Manager in establishing Strategic Plan initiatives and financials, including Budget.
  • Pairs closely with Commercial Team to set orders and sales forecast, walking orders performance to understand changes in the market and price vs. share gain/loss from strategic initiatives.
  • Prepares responses to Audit, including sample transactions and testing.
  • Publishes labor productivity and other variable-spend reporting weekly.
  • Helps course correct when off target.
  • Ensures compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, Corporate policies and procedures, and local statutory requirements, including annual full physical inventory and capital spend requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA, CMA, CPA a plus.
  • 5+ Years progressive experience in financial functions within a manufacturing or supply chain company.
  • Audit experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to educate & coach both finance and non-finance professionals.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite and ERP systems, D365 & Tableau a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Initiative-taking with an ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
  • Operates with a continuous improvement mindset, challenging status quo.

Pay

Competitive Salary - $124,000-170,000
