Finance Manager (US) – Franchise Credit Card Project Role

About the role
As part of the US Finance Product Management team, this role leads the development and supports the achievement of the project budget for the Franchise Credit Card business line. The role manages and provides consulting, planning, and analytic support on financial results as well as future budgeting, providing interpretation through an in-depth understanding of the project workstreams and business. The Finance Manager provides effective challenge to the project delivery team to ensure forecasts and financial plans drive business results, strategy, and growth decisions.
The role requires creativity, innovation, and the ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge to improve existing processes and design new tools. The Finance Manager provides strategic finance advice, analysis, and support for key business areas/portfolios as assigned. They proactively manage senior relationships to deliver seasoned business insights, decision support, and guidance while working closely with various stakeholders and team members.
This role may have a pan-business impact, focusing on comprehensive reviews, specialized analysis, audits, and/or initiatives with a yearly time span. The Finance Manager is accountable for conducting financial analysis, reviews, and audits to support functional goals and may act as an interface with Finance partners, leaders, and external parties. They serve as a source of advice to senior management and may lead teams of specialists.
Responsibilities
- Formulate relevant and meaningful data analysis through comprehensive data visualization tools, profiling, segmentation, and advanced modeling.
- Lead the interpretation of complex business issues, generate multifaceted insights, and identify opportunities to drive business growth or address enterprise needs.
- Effectively communicate recommendations on finance management issues or related operational processes to all organizational levels.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the supported LOB Finance area, providing guidance and recommendations for internal/external dealings.
- Identify and develop key business performance measures or metrics, ensuring benchmark and best-practice information is shared.
- Maximize shareholder value by developing strategies and conducting financial analysis to support key business decisions.
- Leverage advanced data and analytics to provide comprehensive information for strategic decision-making.
- Develop and assess significant business cases or new initiatives, ensuring criteria for taxation, accounting practices, and forecasted returns are met.
- Proactively partner with the business to develop financial, operational, or organizational strategies.
- Ensure alignment between business segment and enterprise goals.
- Provide strategic insights and propose solutions to deliver superior risk-adjusted profitability.
- Create "story-telling" presentations on business performance, including competitive analysis.
- Act as a catalyst in driving forward initiatives critical to delivering strategy.
- Develop and implement growth strategies.
- Partner with the business to develop financial plans and forecasts.
- Lead the development and implementation of new financial models, methodologies, and frameworks for reporting, audit, and analysis.
- Synthesize complex information into actionable insights and strategy.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, acting as custodians of cost.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including financial controls and segregation of duties.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert to identify risks and provide guidance.
- Conduct internal and external research projects and support the development of presentations for management.
- Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency, implementing continuous improvements where opportunities exist.
- Identify and recommend actions or remediation plans to address performance, risk, or governance issues.
- Actively manage relationships across business lines and corporate functions to ensure alignment with enterprise requirements.
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements, assessing potential impacts.
- Support a positive work environment that promotes service, quality, innovation, and teamwork.
- Provide thought leadership and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Accounting or financial designation preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies, including actuals reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Experience developing analyses and reporting to illustrate trends and identify opportunities, contributing to key performance indicators.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with well-developed presentation abilities.
- Ability to act as a business partner, providing advice and analysis to explore results and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects and deliverables.
Pay
$91,000 - $145,600 USD per year. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and business needs.
Schedule
40 hours per week.
