Finance Manager, NA Fresh Finance
About the role
The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel, and new physical store formats across Amazon. As the Planning Lead within FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in partnering regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across WW Grocery Stores, Amazon Grocery, Whole Foods Market, and WW Operations organization, often at senior levels within the company.
We are looking for a Finance Manager with strong strategic thinking and excellent business acumen to lead the planning process for NA Fresh. In this role, you will serve as the single-threaded finance leader who drives alignment across organizations and challenges assumptions to deliver reliable financial plans.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the single-threaded finance leader and subject-matter expert for all NA Fresh planning deliverables; create and communicate workback plans and processes to NA Fresh and Amazon Grocery partner teams.
- Own the planning model and consolidation of inputs from partner teams across all planning cycles (Guidance, OP1, 3YF, OP2).
- Lead preparation of planning documents and facilitate reviews with Director/VP leaders to drive leadership alignment.
- Lead NA Fresh workstreams supporting Board of Directors, CEO, and SVP review requests.
- Provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support to business and finance partners.
- Partner with planning SFA to drive automation and scale of financial reporting; simplify processes for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with business teams and Finance stakeholders to develop short- and long-term reporting, models, and forecasts.
- Ensure data fidelity across critical planning systems (Cognos, Discovery, Redshift, PS Decks, Balto).
- Lead key analytical projects that influence senior leadership decision-making.

We are looking for a Finance Manager with strong modeling skills and financial acumen. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience, thinks and acts globally, and contributes with strategic and impactful reporting. This role requires a self-starter with bar-raising skills in financial modeling and project management, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
You will manage a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring extensive data modeling and analysis, and work with stakeholders across the organization to operationalize and scale new and existing planning processes and tools. Strong communication and writing skills are essential to consolidate complex strategies into concise narratives for NA Fresh Stores leadership (L10s and L8s). This role offers high visibility with regular interactions with various finance, business, and tech teams and leaders across Amazon.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- 5+ years of experience dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
- 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

- USA, NY, New York: $104,900.00 - $179,500.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Austin: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
