Intact’s Global Specialty Lines business spans across more than 20 verticals in four distinct markets: U.S., Canada, UK, and Europe. This opportunity is for our U.S. team.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team based in our Plymouth, MN offices on a hybrid schedule. This role is responsible for providing strategic recommendations for the U.S. Finance division, driving the annual U.S. and Global Specialty Lines planning processes, analyzing regular financial results, responding to ad hoc requests, and assisting with M&A/due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual U.S. and Global Specialty Lines financial planning processes, including analyzing planning information and making recommendations.
• Prepare strategic and long-term forecasted financial statements.
• Analyze potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including modeling the impact to financial statements and ratings, and conducting associated due diligence activities.
• Manage staff development, including training, technical guidance, performance evaluation, and direction regarding policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and execute various special projects for executive and business senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. Post-graduate degree may be required.
• Progress toward financial certification (CPCU, CFA, CIA, ACAS) or CPA designation (or progress toward it) with public accounting experience.
• 6–10 years of related experience, with 3–5 years in a senior or management role.

Pay

The typical base salary range for this position is $123,000 – $159,000, determined by factors including location, role, experience, and skillset. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington, DC; Massachusetts-based offices; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $139,000 – $163,000.
