Finance Manager - FP&A
About the role
The Finance Manager – FP&A role at 3M is designed to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will support the Director of FP&A by analyzing relevant information, trends, and drawing conclusions to support strategic and operational planning.
Responsibilities
- Drive the BG finance operational rhythm ensuring alignment and process standardization with leadership in the Strategic Planning process, Operating Plan target setting and execution, and Quarterly Operating and Financial reviews.
- Develop cadence and analytics to connect financial performance to financial plans using the "Plan Do Check Act" framework.
- Standardize and centralize financial reports to leverage resources, speed, and simplicity across the BG and coordinate across the enterprise.
- Manage a team of financial analysts, providing coaching and development opportunities to support their growth and success.
- Conduct financial analysis of BG investment opportunities and BG portfolio initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to senior management on strategic initiatives and other special projects.
- Manage all components of the BG Sponsored P&L including budget management of central marketing and R&D.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Seven (7) years of Finance or Accounting experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Master's degree in Finance from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Experience providing financial counsel/analysis
- Strong Finance and Accounting knowledge
- Highly proactive self-starter with the ability to drive change
- Experience working on cross-functional teams

Pay & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $188,251 - $230,084, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. Specific compensation offered may vary based on factors such as relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience. For more details, refer to the Pay & Benefits Overview page.
Work Location
This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. Travel may include up to 5% domestic/international.
