Finance Manager, EAS Financial Planning & Analysis (Hybrid)

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a Manager I with solid, demonstrated leadership qualities to manage a small team of Program Finance personnel within a growing Product Line. You will provide day-to-day oversight and leadership to the finance team and all members supporting the programs within the Product Line portfolio. This role involves providing financial decision support to the Product Line Finance Director, Product Line Director, and Product Area Directors, as well as leading briefings for the CFO and Quarterly Business Review. You will oversee the 5-year Integrated Business Planning cycle, monthly financial updates, and status against the Operating Plan, including leadership for new business funds and investments.

This role requires a skilled leader who can work independently, maintain a normal business reporting cadence, and interact with all levels of the Product Line. You may occasionally act as the delegation of approval for the Finance Director.

Responsibilities

• Drive and lead the coordination and development of quarterly financial forecasts for the Product Line by collaborating closely with the finance team and Product Line leadership.
• Work independently in a cross-functional team environment while providing leadership and mentorship to the finance team, focusing on financial planning, analysis, risk assessment, and opportunities.
• Utilize strong communication skills to interface with the Product Line Leadership Team, Finance Team, and cross-functional team members to ensure accurate and sound financial forecasts.
• Mentor and coach junior finance personnel on Hyperion and financial forecasting.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team for monitoring, controlling, and reporting of programs.
• Act on behalf of the Finance Director when needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Prior experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Smartview.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Earned Value (EV) Management Certification and experience with EV tools.
• Must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving, analytical, and in-depth research skills.
• Self-motivated with a bias for action, process, and results-oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and command a room.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a multitasked workload in a fast-paced environment to meet business commitments.
• Sound judgment in decision-making while complying with policies and procedures.
• Detailed-oriented with meticulous record-keeping skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Hyperion and Smartview reporting.
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks to closure with little to no supervision.
• Master's Degree.
• Solid understanding of Earned Value and management of government contracts.
• Proven leadership skills.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $118,747 – $201,870. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
