The FP&A Manager (Hybrid) will help drive the preparation of budgets, forecasts, monthly financial analysis & reporting, and ad hoc analysis for all areas of the organization. This role requires pairing solid business intuition with the ability to make confident, fact-based decisions. You will gather disparate pieces of data from multiple sources to uncover insights, root causes, and creative solutions to problems. Additionally, you must view things through a process lens and strive to be proactive in setting up tools that others within the business can use to make better decisions and be more effective.

Reporting to the CFO, the FP&A Manager will work out of Profisee’s headquarters in Alpharetta, GA on a hybrid basis, typically coming into the office 1-2 days a week.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within First 30 Days:
    • Onboard and meet with key business leaders to understand the company’s current state and identify opportunities to scale the business.
    • Engage with functional leaders from finance, sales, marketing, and product to understand business rhythm and current reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Update and maintain basic financial and operational reports.
    • Identify areas for opportunity and gaps through initial observations and discussions.
  • Within First 60 Days:
    • Partner with the CFO to drive regular business reporting and identify obstacles in the current monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cadence.
    • Review historical financials and performance drivers to align reporting for better decision-making across sales, marketing, revenue, expenses, and investments.
    • Collaborate with the management team to prepare materials for quarterly board meetings.
    • Become proficient with the general ledger (NetSuite).
  • Within First 90 Days:
    • Take ownership of the internal KPI dashboard and financial reporting tools.
    • Develop, track, and analyze KPIs across functional areas to identify business trends and support key executive decisions.
    • Establish daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cadences.
    • Explore and address unasked and unanswered questions to hone perspectives on critical drivers of future growth and scale.
  • Within First 120 Days:
    • Take ownership of the budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze current methods, and present improvements for revenue, cash, and expense forecasting.
    • Partner with the CFO and team to enable a rich and efficient budgeting process, considering Profisee’s January 31st year-end.
    • Prepare variance analysis throughout the year to improve visibility into performance against the budget and prior year.
    • Identify and deliver 1-2 ad hoc KPI and decision support opportunities.
    • Set up a feedback mechanism (survey, regular check-ins, etc.) to continuously improve reporting over time.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the preparation of budgets, forecasts, monthly financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to uncover insights and root causes.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and financial reporting tools.
  • Establish and maintain reporting cadences (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify and deliver ad hoc KPI and decision support opportunities.
  • Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings and other executive presentations.
  • Ensure accuracy of journal entries and their impact on financial reporting.
  • Automate tasks through Excel macros and sensitivity testing.
  • Manage various projects, both one-time and recurring, with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, data analysis tools, and complex financial modeling.
  • Ability to create and automate dashboards using Excel macros.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting financial statements and journal entries.
  • Deep understanding of business and financial structure, reporting, and process.
  • Ability to analyze and predict revenues and expenses, and course-correct as needed.
  • Experience deconstructing business drivers and unit economics, and setting up reporting tools to monitor business health.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Comfortable working independently, rolling up sleeves, and delivering results on short timelines with limited resources.
  • Systems thinking: ability to make data-driven decisions, solicit feedback, and integrate information into action plans.
  • Experience building and improving processes/tools through observation, feedback, and thoughtful cultivation.
  • Collaborative mindset with empathy for colleagues and customers.

Schedule
