Description

The AWS Worldwide Specialists Finance (WWSO) team is looking for a Finance Manager to collaborate with senior business and finance leaders in the Specialists organization. You'll spearhead data-driven investment decisions, financial planning, and controllership, directly impacting our global strategy and revenue growth.

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics dashboards for WWSO Core leadership, including productivity metrics

  • Design and implement advanced financial models and analytical tools to support critical decision-making

  • Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help your business partners make data-driven decisions

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and present findings directly to senior leaders

  • Lead the annual financial planning and budgeting process

A day in the life:

  • Support existing business review mechanisms (WBR, MBR etc.) and build new metric frameworks for Geo Specialist coverage.

  • Work with teams on get-to-green plans, and measuring and assessing future risks.

  • Analyze key pipeline and productivity metrics to drive business investment and outcomes

About The Team

This role sits within a deeply collaborative team that operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, forging senior-level business partnerships and enabling Go-To-Market solutions spanning the full portfolio of AWS Services and the corresponding Sales teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
