About the role

The finance team for AMPS (AWS Marketplace and Partner Services) is seeking a Finance Manager to support the AWS Marketplace. AWS Marketplace is a critical channel for partners worldwide to acquire new customers and increase profitability in the cloud, and it is central to our Partner strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product and Engineering organization on key projects that influence and drive the business, including feature launches, market expansion opportunities, infrastructure optimization, and new revenue generating businesses.
  • Analyze proposals, make analytical judgments, and provide data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.
  • Create, enhance, and maintain financial models, develop business insights, and lead ad hoc analyses.
  • Create, maintain, and improve management reporting, focusing on automation and AI utilization.
  • Collaborate across service teams to support integrations and new economic models.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business.
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
  • MBA, or CPA.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Skills

This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in project management. This role has regular interaction with varied stakeholders across product, engineering, and business development and requires strong people skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, NY, New York - $104,900.00 - $179,500.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
