About the role
The finance team for AWS Marketplace (AMPS) is seeking a Finance Manager to support the AWS Marketplace. This role works closely with key business partners to drive thoughtful planning, analysis, decision support, and controllership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product and Engineering organization on key projects that influence and drive the business, including feature launches, market expansion opportunities, infrastructure optimization, and new revenue-generating businesses
- Analyze proposals, make analytical judgments, and provide data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change
- Build out and enhance financial models, develop business insights, and lead ad hoc analyses
- Create, maintain, and improve management reporting, focusing on automation and utilization of AI
- Collaborate across service teams to support integrations and new economic models
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
