Finance Manager, AWS Sales and Services, AWS Marketplace and Partner Services

About the role

The finance team for AMPS (AWS Marketplace and Partner Services) is seeking a Finance Manager to support the AWS Marketplace. This role involves working with key business partners to drive thoughtful planning, analysis, decision support, and controllership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Product and Engineering organization on key projects that influence and drive the business, including feature launches, market expansion opportunities, infrastructure optimization, and new revenue generating businesses
• Analyze proposals, make analytical judgments, and provide data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change
• Build out and enhance financial models, develop business insights, and lead ad hoc analyses
• Create, maintain, and improve management reporting, with a focus on automation and utilization of AI
• Collaborate across service teams to support integrations and new economic models

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
