Our dynamic client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to serve as the strategic right hand to a senior commercial finance leader within a complex, operationally driven organization. This high-impact interim role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in ambiguous environments, influences executive decision-making, and uses financial analysis to drive business strategy rather than simply report results. Responsibilities
- Serve as the commercial finance leader's second-in-command, providing strategic financial support across major business initiatives and investment decisions.
- Lead the development of complex financial models, including NPV, ROI, sensitivity analyses, scenario planning, and long-range business forecasts.
- Evaluate customer, pricing, contract, and deal economics to support commercial growth and profitability objectives.
- Identify business challenges, define root issues, structure analyses, and develop actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, and executive leadership teams to assess opportunities and risks.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts into clear business decisions.
- Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making through data-driven analysis and sound business judgment.
- Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.
- Drive financial rigor around capital allocation, investments, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Support the development and execution of long-term financial and operational strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive finance, commercial finance, strategic finance, business partnering, deal finance, investment analysis, or related experience.
- Proven experience building and presenting complex business cases and financial models.
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, investment evaluation, pricing strategy, contract economics, and decision support.
- Experience supporting operationally intensive businesses such as logistics, transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, real estate, distribution, or similar industries preferred.
- Demonstrated success influencing business decisions at the executive leadership level.
- Prior people leadership or team management experience required.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
Benefits
- Medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance available to contract/temporary professionals.
- Eligibility to enroll in the company 401(k) plan for hired contract/temporary professionals.
