Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Captures the month-end close process and analyzes variances against projections and plans
• Performs weekly and monthly analyses of food, labor, and direct cost productivity
• Conducts root cause analysis of revenue, operating costs, and Earnings Before Interest and Taxes variances to compare with plans and projections
• Trains and coaches operations managers and unit bookkeepers on financial reporting systems, financial report interpretation, and their finance and accounting responsibilities
• Supports operations teams in driving profitable growth through productivity and revenue growth
• Ensures compliance with contract results, monitors critical metrics, and participates in contract performance reviews
• Coordinates the monthly projection process, supports operations managers, and analyzes financial trends
• Participates in the monthly planning process, including setting targets, analyzing monthly spreads, and assisting with budget presentations
• Develops and submits monthly invoices for business unit contracts to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Assists with accounts receivable collections, inventory management, and capital expenditure controls to drive free cash flow
• Provides analytical support and proforma development for new business and client retention efforts
• Supports senior management with ad hoc reports, historical, current, and future financial and statistical data
• Performs special projects and analysis as needed by senior management

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on accounting/finance experience with progressive analytical responsibility
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance/accounting, MBA or related coursework preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to learn quickly
• The ability to adapt to new situations, work with senior management, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail to meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software, particularly Excel
