You will own the accuracy of the site’s books and cost reporting, and you will be the person operations leaders turn to when they need to understand what is driving results. The role reports into our corporate finance group and has one direct report. What You Will Do: Own the site’s ledger and deliver a clean, on-time close every periodProduce and stand behind the site’s cost reportingBuild the annual site budget with input from each department, and track performance against itSit down with operations leaders to walk through results and answer their questionsSpend time on the production floor to understand why actuals differ from expectationsKeep product structures and costing data accurate as products change or launchSupport inventory counts and reconcile the resultsOversee payables and make sure company financial policies are followed on siteServe as the site’s expert on the finance side of the business systemCoach and develop one finance team memberPull together support for audits What You Bring: A degree in accounting, or the experience to matchSeveral years in a manufacturing business, including hands-on cost accountingSolid technical accounting fundamentalsCuriosity: you want to know why a number moved, not just that it didComfort explaining financial results to people outside of finance Interested in hearing more?
