Finance Manager

About the role

This position will lead the finance function during a critical expansion phase of our U.S. operations, driving financial governance, business planning, and the establishment of accounting, tax, and reporting systems. You will collaborate with global finance leadership and external partners to provide strategic support to the executive team and enable sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial operations and governance in collaboration with the global finance team and external service providers
• Oversee all finance and related functions, including IT
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and tax filing processes
• Execute statutory, tax, management, and external financial reporting
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and mid-term business plans
• Analyze financial risks and business opportunities, providing recommendations
• Manage internal audit and compliance-related activities
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to executive leadership
• Oversee IT and system-related processes
• Support cross-departmental projects, including supply chain and logistics
• Establish financial infrastructure and governance systems for new entities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in finance
• Knowledge of FP&A, accounting, and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
• Experience with tax filings
• Native-level proficiency in both English and Japanese
• Ability to proactively drive work in a fast-changing environment

CPA or other accounting certification is a plus.
